Troy Nielsen

Owner & CEO

Troy Nielsen is a Nebraska guy through and through. Raised in small towns across the state, from South Sioux City to Lexington to Cozad, he grew up understanding what community really means. That upbringing shapes everything about how he runs Signal of Lincoln.

A graduate of Buena Vista University with a degree in Sports Marketing, Troy was a four-year letter winner and captain of the football team, and an Eagle Scout. Those experiences built the leadership instincts and team-first mentality he brings to work every day. With over 20 years of experience as a business owner and entrepreneur in Nebraska, he launched Signal of Lincoln with a straightforward mission: protect this community, the right way.

Troy is not just the name on the door. Clients mention him by name because he is personally invested in every relationship Signal of Lincoln has. That is not a talking point. That is just how he operates.

Carrie Nielsen

Chief Marketing Officer

Carrie Nielsen is an Omaha native and University of Nebraska Lincoln student who has spent her career building brands, leading marketing teams, and driving growth across industries. She brings deep expertise in brand strategy, digital solutions, and customer experience to her role at Signal of Lincoln.

Before joining the family business, Carrie held senior marketing and sales leadership roles for over two decades. She is also a co-founder of Nielsen Blinds, Shutters and Shades, where she helped build the brand from the ground up alongside Troy, and she owns her own fractional marketing company, Conversion Lab.

Carrie and Troy have two daughters. Their oldest is a UNL graduate now working for Cargill in Wisconsin, and their youngest is a two-sport college athlete playing soccer and golf at Doane University in Crete, NE. Family and Nebraska roots run deep in everything the Nielsens do, and that shows in how Signal of Lincoln shows up for this community every day.
